Extreme 4 Wheelin'
Freiling ORV Park, March 11th 2006

Yeah, it's finally spring time!  Today we are off to visit Freiling's park just north of Clayton.
We've got a great turnout, as everyone lines up at the meeting location.

Of course it rained the night before, so no dust.
However, Walt's the first to discover that the entrance to the parking area is a little slick...

Unloaded and ready to run.

First challenge of the day is TSOB.  Although it might have been better to wait for the rocks to dry of a bit.  It's VERY slick and slimy this morning!

The entrance is one of the tougher spots of this trail.
Here Jack is giving it a shot, and is being denied.

So, he moves to a different line, but is now gets a little too friendly with this tree.

Nothing like pulling on a rope to get ya warmed up!

Now that Jack's out, who's next....

Earl chooses the better line right off the start.

But, now Ronnie is ready for his turn.

Hamid gives it a go, but that's not a good sound coming from the front.

Yep, looks like the left stub axle has given way.

Time to move onward.

For me it's a shot at one of my favorite spots.  Sometimes I can make this work....

So, how many people does it take to hold up a Samurai?

Of course it would not be a run up TSOB without an assault on the wall!
Norm is first to give it a shot.

Video of Norm climbing the exit of TSOB.

Next up is Jack.

Then Steve in the Buggy.

Well, the show is done for now.  It's time for a lunch break.

After lunch, it's time for some 'easy' trails....

Ooops, we have a tire down.  Time for a little trail repair.

A short delay, then we are off moving again.

Did I mention this was the easy trail?

So who's actually driving this thing anyway?..

One more obstacle for the day....

Actually we kinda knock off a little bit early because we've got plans to hit Pete's place on the way home.  It just would not be a Clayton trip without a stop for Italian!

Thanks to everyone that came out!  And thanks to Steve for leading us around!

See ya next trip...
