Extreme 4 Wheelin'
Gruber Run, July 8th 2006

Welcome to sunny Camp Gruber ORV Park.  Actually, It's a beautiful day, starting out in the low 60's this morning.  I'm sure the jeep folks who drove in with the tops off noticed that fact.

We've got an excellent turnout today, it's going to be a blast!

For starters we will do some warm-up on the rock wall by the parking lot.

I see Hamid finally got Rock Frog running again.  And Ken even made it out in the Rockwell beast.

And Jayson is out in his Jeep giving the new locker and gears a test.

It's a rock wall free for all now...

Go Pat, go...

Ok, now it's time to go hit some trails.

Here Phil has found a little ditch to play in.

Phil made it look easy, but Kelly discovers the mud in the bottom can eat a 30" ish tires!

Jayson crawls thru without any problems.

But now it's my turn.  I'm gonna show everyone how it's done......

Ok, maybe that's not quite the way, but my passenger Holly did not complain (much)....

We are going to try this again.  This time Kylie is along for the ride.

Oops, here we go again...
A little help from the pulling gang and we don't need a winch this time...

Ok Ronnie, this time it's up to you to show us how it's done....

Now it's time to hit some real trails....

Once everyone is out, we stop to take a break, as the guys work on fixing Jeff's inverted shackle.

Then it's off for another trails..  So, why is everyone standing around...

Oh yeah, Norm and Myself have both broken down.
Snapped drive shaft u-joint and the same time.  While Norm works on replacing his, Hamid give me a ride back to the truck for my spare.

Kylie is helping me fix the Sami.
She's holding the bolts for me.   Thanks Kylie... :)

Ok we are moving again

Here Jayson works his way up the hill.

And even Dale is getting in on the action.

Then of course Earl has to show us how easy it is with a Rubicon...

Of course, not a problem for Daniel in the big Blazer.

A couple truck then we are off to find the overlook for a lunch break.

After lunch we have to make a run up the ravine.

Holly and myself are the first to drop into the rocks.
Lucky for everyone else, we scared off all the rattle snakes before they came thru.

Once everyone is thru the ravine, the group moves on for a couple more trails before calling it a day.

Thanks to everyone that came out.
Thanks to our trail leader Hamid.
And special thanks to Karen, Kelly and Norm for all the great pictures.

Until next time....
